our approach

We are drawing upon a wide range of visual and online media to communicate the story of Modern India to the world. These include:

photo book

This is a 250-page photographic book documenting the changing landscapes of industries in India and the country's role in the global economy. It examines both the modern and traditional elements of industry, highlighting the contrasts and similarities which exist and will pose important questions on the future nature of industry and the factors which will be shaping it in the 21st century. The 30 photo stories include Space Research, Renewable energy, real estate, pharmaceuticals and bio tech, various types of mining, steel, automobiles, infrastructure, progressive agriculture, media, IT and ship building.

The book includes interviews with India's leading industrialists and thinkers including Ravi Kant (CEO Tata Motors), Deepak Parekh (Chairman HDFC) and Adi Godrej (Chairman Godrej Industries), Chanda Kocchar CEO ICICI Bank, Ajit Gulabchand (Chairman HCC), Dr. JJ Irani (Tata).

Professor Anthony D'Costa from Copenhagen Business School is writing the text for the book, one of the world's leading authorities on indian industry.

multimedia presence

Every recipient of the book will be given exclusive membership of a social networking site which will link the global business community together - both Indian and international.

TIMI is also building an interactive web platform which will provide a forum for debate on the issues shaping Modern India. This will feature video interviews ranging from leading industrialists to spiritual leaders to everyday men, women and children.
